User Guide:

Please read carefully before using www.myworkexperiencelog.info

Welcome to www.myworkexperiencelog.info. This guide will help you to get started with the site and to make the most of it. Most users will be given their accounts by their school and teachers will, no doubt, introduce the site and give guidance on what to do. This Guide will complement the guidance given by the schools.

  1. Access to the site
    1. 1.1 To access the site you will need to enter a login Username and Password, then click on the “Login” button. The login details will be given to you by your school or other organisation that provides you with the account. You will need to enter the login details exactly as supplied to you - please note the Password is case sensitive.
    2. 1.2 If you forget your password you can:
      1. ask your teacher to remind you
      2. click on the “Forgotten Password” link and get a hint OR send an email for a new password.
    3. 1.3 Remember to keep your Username and Password secret – if others find out what they are they can access your account.
    4. 1.4 To logout, use the “Logout” button at the left of the screen.
  2. Security
    1. 2.1 The site is very secure. All passwords are encrypted before being stored. The passwords can only be decrypted using the password so any forgotten passwords may only be reset and can not be retrieved.
  3. Entering data

      3. prepare a CV that you can give or send to your employer to let them know a little about you.
  8. Placement

If your employer gives you permission you may be able to complete some of the information whilst at work, otherwise you can complete them at home. If you do not have access to the internet you must keep hard copies of the information you require and enter the data when you return to school. In this section you can:
      1. record your attendance;
      2. keep a diary of your activities; and
      3. reflect on the skills you have used.

      3. write a thank you letter to your employer.
  10. Finally, you may want more information about the site and if so click on the Accessibility, Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy buttons at the bottom of the screen.
